Recently, pamphlets with introduction and job offer of Wuhan Iron & Steel Corporation (hereinafter referred to as WISCO) and International Economic & Trading Corporation brought a wind of “WISCO fever” to the campus of Tsinghua University as WISCO team recruited university graduates in Beijing. In the campaign, the 4 subsidiary companies of WISCO offered more than 30 posts related to over 10 majors, such as technology, management, marketing and engineering etc.
WISCO Organization & Personnel Department brought forward the Human Resources Management Strategy of “taking renowned Universities as main channel and recruiting university graduates to satisfy the urgently needs of WISCO” in the discussion of “Thought liberation, idea transformation, reform and innovation, scientific development.” And it decided to organize Human Resources Department personnel of relevant subsidiaries to Beijing specially for graduates recruitment before the graduation in 2008, which was greatly supported by WISCO limited, International Economic & Trading Corporation and other WISCO companies.
To ensure the success of this action, WISCO Organization & Personnel Department and Human Resources Administration Departments of associated companies had already made good preparations by launching job offers on websites of many renowned universities such as Beijing University, Renmin University of China. Therefore, a good number of resumes had been sent to E-mail boxes of recruitment companies before they made the trip. The International Economic & Trading Corporation not only delegated a recruitment team with professional managers and interpreters, but also made 1100 “Job offers” with delicate design and large-scale poster for recruitment as well.
In order to bring the quasi-graduates a perceptual impression of WISCO’s enterprise development strategy and “WISCO’s appreciation, pursuit and cherish of talents”, WISCO Organization & Personnel Department organized recommendation meeting to exhibit and introduce its human resources management mechanism and enterprise culture which attracted eyeballs of thousands of quasi-graduates from Beijing University, Renmin University of China, University of Science & Technology Beijing, North China Electric Power University, Harbin Institute of Technology etc noted universities.
According to statistics, WISCO delegation to Beijing signed contracts with 5 graduates including one with doctor’s degree during the 3-days Graduate Recruitment Exhibition. In addition, more than 200 graduates submitted their resumes. |
